How to set up OpenVPN on an ASUS router
Setting up a configuration file
Download the .ovpn configuration file for the location you need from the BlancVPN Telegram bot or your BlancVPN personal account : Telegram bot . Enter /start and then tap on « Install VPN » → choose the location required → « OpenVPN ». When the bot sends you the file, download it. Personal account . Choose the location , then « Other protocols » → « OpenVPN ». Download the file.
Open the file in any text editor app. You may use such apps as TextEdit , Windows Notepad or Notepad++ . To do this, right-click on the file and choose « Open with » → your text editor . In the text, find the line tun-mtu 1400
and change it to tun-mtu 1500
. Add the lines above the previously edited one, just like it is shown in the screenshot pull-filter ignore "ifconfig-ipv6"

Connecting to VPN
Open the « VPN » page in the router menu on the left. If there is no such page, this means that your router does not support VPN. Go to the « VPN Client » page and click on « Add Profile ». Choose the « OpenVPN » page. Write in the missing information. For « Description » you may write a note for yourself or simply type «BlancVPN». For « Username », write your login, for « Password », write your password. You have already got them from the BlancVPN telegram bot or your personal account. Now click on « Choose file ». A file dialog will appear. Choose the . ovpn . file you have got from the Telegram bot and click on « ОК ». Click on « Upload » and wait , while the « Complete » sign appears. Click on « ОК ». Click on « Аctivate ».A blue tick will appear by the profile name after the connection is established. To disconnect, click on « Deactivate ».
